This year my favorite ladies and I celebrated our second annual Friendsgiving and if I do say so myself, it was a huge success! I have said it before and I’ll say it again, but I’m a firm believer that nothing brings people together like good food! Thanksgiving is easily my favorite holiday and so I naturally planned a party to celebrate!
I was too proud of the cute table decorations! This year, we migrated out of the dining room and set up two tables in the kitchen and family room to accommodate everyone.
- Flowers! My favorite! We had a mix of carnations, sunflowers, daises, and daylillies.
- Mini gourds and pumpkins
- Lots of candles!
This years menu was strictly the classics! You can’t go wrong with the basics. And generally speaking, Thanksgiving food is comfort food that really anyone will enjoy.
- Turkey, of course!
- Mashed Potatoes and Turkey Gravy
- Green Beans
- Corn Pudding
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Waldorf Salad
- Apple Pie
- Butterbeer Cupcakes
- Mini Pumpkin Pie Jars (recipe linked here!)
Needless to say, we filled up on carbs and went home with full stomachs, but even fuller hearts! After a night spent with my favorite girls, I was reminded of how blessed I am. I am so thankful for fun nights of laughter and the gift of friendship!
