A Nashville Daycation

Although the beach and sunshine were calling my name this Spring Break, I sadly didn’t make it down to Florida like I normally do. I decided to spend some much needed time simply relaxing and doing nothing at home. (Which meant a lot of baking and reading! Stay tuned!)

I did, however, go with some of my best gal pals down to Nashville for a day and what a treat this was! I feel the need to take a second and say how amazingly blessed I am to have such good friends. Shoutout to Sarah and Lauren for all the laughs and fun memories this day brought!

If you are in the Louisville area and looking for a quick trip, I would highly recommend! We spend the day shopping, eating, and taking pictures. What more could I really ask for? Here is a quick glimpse of a few things we did!

Biscuit Love

In case you haven’t been able to tell, I LOVE a good brunch. Biscuit Love did not disappoint! First off, they give you FREE fried donut bites on your table! They are pure goodness and had the creamiest lemon mascarpone on top with a blueberry compote on the bottom! I ordered the John’s Ham Bar and although the ham was good, the sampling of pimento cheese was what made the dish to me. Check out the full menu here! The atmosphere is oh so adorable as well! Just be prepared to wait. We stood in line a solid 40 minutes before getting in the door. It’s the price you pay for a good brunch.

Murals

Before going on our trip, I naturally had to look on Pinterest for the best places to visit. I quickly learned that Nashville is famous for all their murals beyond just the Insta famous wing mural. And I’d be lying if I said we didn’t spend half of our time taking pictures at all of them.

The wing mural was located right by Biscuit Love on 11th Ave. Very convenient and we got lucky just stumbling on it!

Although not all of these pictures are murals, I wanted to also pause and talk about Draper James! The stripe mural dawns the side of the store on 12 Ave. But Oh My Goodness. I may have found my new favorite store. I recently saw this store on Southern Living’s Instagram page and I fell in love. When we were driving now to Nashville, it dawned on me that we needed to visit! This store was opened by Reese Witherspoon to honor her grandparents and it captures everything about Southern hospitality. They gave us sweet tea when we walked in the door. Like what?! Check out the website here!

The flower field and “Make Music Not War” murals are located on 12 Ave. as well. I would recommend parking and walking along this street. It was easily my favorite spot! So quintessentially Nashville.

Five Daughters Bakery

The pictures say it all. If you are in Nashville you NEED to go. Don’t count the calories and enjoy! Check out the website here!

Amelia’s Flower Truck

We found this adorable flower truck by random chance! We just happened to be driving by, I saw the truck, and whipped into the parking lot because I am a sucker for fresh flowers! Known as being Nashville’s Mobile Flower Shop, this truck can be tracked here!

I said it before, but I’ll say it again! I have the best friends ever and this trip was exactly what I needed this Spring Break. I’m already planning another trip soon!

Always, Autumn
